Fun in the Kitchen: Cornmeal

Halloween Antics Part I
Halloween morning, R got dressed for daycare. She wore an orange pair of pants with candy corn on them, a black halloween shirt, and practiced wearing her cat ears for later. They would be playing dress-up at day care so she was not in costume when she first left the house. She took a moment here to study up on her numbers before going to school.
At daycare they had special snacks and got dressed up and went for a walk outside, crunching along on the fallen leaves. R took her nap in her costume and so when it was time to go home, she put on her orange pants to keep her legs warm. It was such a nice day that R decided to play outside for a bit. With her leopard print outfit, she decided to pretend she was a cave-person. She found some nice looking sticks to rub together.

A Beautiful Fall Afternoon
R loved all the animals. There were little baby goats (so cute) and she spent some time dancing to the little chickens' cheeping (although the video doesn't really show her dancing).
Funny thing, though. Probably the one thing she enjoyed most and got angriest about us not letting her do more of, was playing with the gravel on the walking path. Go figure!

Today's Accomplishment
We usually use it to store her toy pots and pans in the kitchen, but occasionally she plays with the big bowl itself. After quite a few missteps and several yells of frustration, she figured out how to position herself so that she could successfully sit in the bowl. Then she entertained herself by grabbing all the cloth wipes she could grab and stuffing them in the bowl with her.
We have so much fun in the mornings before breakfast!

Looking out from the inside
So, Daddy, what are we going to do today?
Well, R, I thought I'd put this laundry type basket on my head to entertain you. What's that? You want it now? You want it on your head? Are you sure? Okay, here you go. . .
I've been practicing walking and I'm pretty good at walking while holding on to things. I bet I can walk around with a laundry basket covering me.
Well, that does sound like fun. Go ahead and knock yourself out. (not literally)

Ah, the endless possibilities of everyday objects. (the password is . . . sutherbaum)
