Nursing, that is. It's been almost a week since I last nursed R to sleep. After worrying about how we would do this, it was amazingly anti-climactic. I just had J take over putting her to sleep after her bath and she's been fine with that almost every night. He reads her a few stories, sings a song or two, and lays her down, and she's out.
She hasn't fussed for me (except for one night, when I made the mistake of trying to help out in her room after her bath), and she hasn't acted antsy to nurse at other times, or even seemed to really miss it at all.

It's so sad, isn't it? I ended up weaning A at 18 mos unintentionally. She started waking at 4:30am thinking it was morning, and since we nursed in the morning, I refused, telling her it was still night time. After 4 days of that, she started sleeping until 6 and woke up asking for yogurt!!! Bye bye nursing!
ReplyDeleteI remember feeling the same way - congrats on being such an amazing nursing mom, S.
