This post, from an online friend of mine with a really creative and awesome blog, reminded me of one way my life has changed since R was born: I simply do not keep track of time well anymore. Unlike Jenn, I still wear a watch, but . . .
My alarm isn't what wakes me up anymore. And when R sleeps in (this means waking up after 6 a.m.), we all wake up late.
I don't have a sense of how long it takes me to do anything anymore.
My schedule revolves around what R and RUS are doing: napping? eating? playing? getting ready for bed?
Unfortunately, the schedule thing has gotten a lot harder for me with the second baby in the mix. I often feel as if I still have pregnancy brain. But somehow, I don't think keeping better track of what time it is will necessarily help.

How timely! I overlept today by an hour and 20 minutes because M decided that her four week not-sleeping jag was over and she was going to sleep in.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout out! It's amazing how our perception changes.
