RUS: 7.5 months

I've been meaning to take RUS to Sears or somewhere where I can get relatively cheap professional portraits taken--you know, crisp pictures on a clean background. I've been saying I was going to do this since he was 5.5 months old, because I wanted 6 month pictures I could use to contrast with his newborn pictures, and with another photo shoot around 1 year old.

He's now 7.5 months old and I still haven't taken him.

Part of the foot-dragging is that I don't really love the pictures from Sears or JCPenney or any of those instant portrait places (Portrait Innovations, Picture People, etc.) They're often cute but not amazing. Like, I love the pictures we had taken when he was 5 weeks old but they were also pretty expensive and not something we can do more than once in every (very) long while.

So. I was SO EXCITED when my friend MP sent RUS this gorgeous new hand-knit and incredibly soft sweater. The first thing I did after it arrived was put it on him and head outside to try and grab some photos to share. These are the first photos I've gotten of him that make me feel like I could try and frame as his 6(ish!)-month photos, and I'm not feeling the need to try and get professional photos done so much. Which is nice. It's like I crossed something off of my list!
