Some clarifications that J requested.
First, only presents from J's parents were put under the tree before Christmas. Santa still came on Christmas eve and left unwrapped presents under the tree for J and JW to find on Christmas morning.
Second, the only gifts we have been putting out early are gifts for J and I -- there are no gifts for R in the pictures we've posted of Christmas decor. The gifts by the tree are all the gifts we've bought for other members of our family, including Grandma, Grandpa, Grammie, Grampie, L'il Tyke, Surf, Local Hero, G, and Little Frog. Those gifts would probably still be out early just because we need a place to put them once they get wrapped and it's just as nice to see them out and by the tree as it is to see them languishing in a closet somewhere.
Third, Santa is still very much going to come for R, but Santa will arrive wherever R happens to be spending Christmas.
