This no pacifier thing is a lot easier than I expected it to be. She's gone to sleep pretty much normally. She fussed tonight but it was less "give me the pacifier" and more just typical resisting sleep even though she's really tired behavior.
Funny how some things you dread for ages and ages and they turn out to be non-events, and other things just sucker-punch you because you're so not expecting it.

Wow, I dread that time, too. Does R suck on her fingers/thumb at all?
ReplyDeleteShe actually doesn't. Lately she's been chewing on her fingers/hands because of teething (we think) but she doesn't suck on her fingers or her thumb to comfort herself. We do have this super-cute AngelDear brand lovey that she sleeps with though. I'm not sure if she'll pick up some other sucking habit or not yet.
